The Vlocity Network forms the foundation of the network. Client sites are typically connected to the Vlocity towers via a Multi-Point link. Typically the Maximum speed applied to a multipoint link is between 1 and 2 megabits depending on the number of existing clients on the Multipoint sector.

The type of Link here is Localised to the Vlocity network in an Area. This does not include VPN Links that move from one region to another. A separate link between regions is required to link Client sites that are not on the same Vlocity Segment.

If the client requires each branch to have its own dedicated speed to the head office, and that speed is higher than the capacity of the Multipoint link, then the client is required to install additional Point to Point equipment on the MultiPoint Tower. The Head office would then require a link speed to the capacity of the branches combined or specify the Contention ratios. The Vlocity MultiPoint devices are not designed to carry speeds in excess of dedicated 1:1 VPN connections higher than 1 or 2 Megabits (Depending on the tower in question)

Applications of this nature are ones where the head office requires full time speed at all times of the day, regardless of the other branches. Typical applications can be Email services, Image Sharing and downloading and Video Feeds.

This type of network requires the Vlocity Backhaul links to be capable, and is therefore not a standard product.
