ApexRun
ApexRun is a smart NFC-based race timing and athlete management system designed specifically for running clubs. Built around a Raspberry Pi touchscreen kiosk, ApexRun allows athletes to check in instantly by tapping their NFC wristband, automatically recording their presence and displaying their emergency contact information on screen. During races, the system captures finish times in real time as runners cross the line, building a complete results database that includes overall positions, age group rankings, and personal bests. Club administrators can enrol members, assign wristbands, and manage race events directly from the kiosk or via a web-based portal — all without an internet connection. When connectivity is available, ApexRun syncs seamlessly with the club's online database, publishing live results to the club website where members can view their full race history, personal statistics, and age group performance.
